Miko Korean Lash Lift Precision Grip Flat Pads

Description

The foundation of the Korean Lash Lift technique starts flat.

The Precision Grip Flat Pads were specifically engineered for the initial flat-phase positioning technique used in Korean Lash Lift services.

Unlike traditional lash lift shields, these ultra-thin silicone pads create a stable flat surface that allows lashes to be positioned with maximum precision before transitioning into the lifting phase.

The ultra-slim profile at the lash line is what makes these pads different. Traditional flat pads are often too bulky near the lash line, causing lashes to push upward instead of lying completely flat. These pads were designed with an extremely thin edge near the lash line that gradually thickens for support and stability.

Made from flexible medical-grade silicone, the pads create exceptionally strong adhesion against the eyelid without requiring tape or additional adhesives.

The grip is so secure that the pad can gently lift the eyelid through adhesion alone while maintaining stable placement throughout processing.

Because in Korean Lash Lift technique, the angle of the foundation determines the final lift result.

How To

How To Use: Protocol Step 3A — Korean Technique Flat Phase

Position the flat pad approximately 1 mm from the lash line, ensuring the ultra-thin edge sits as close to the lashes as possible without touching them.

Press firmly to activate full silicone adhesion.

Using Balm Adhesive, lift and position the lashes onto the flat surface individually, working from the inner corner outward.

After Step 1 processing is complete, remove the flat pads and transition into the hybrid shield lifting phase.

Professional Tip

The closer the flat pad sits to the lash line, the easier it becomes to create clean root positioning and a more dramatic final lift result.

How To Clean & Care: — Silicone Tools

Proper cleaning is essential to maintain the adhesion, flexibility, and longevity of your silicone tools. Incorrect cleaning methods can weaken the silicone surface, reduce grip strength, and compromise future service performance.

These instructions apply to:

  • Reusable Under Eye Pads
  • Precision Grip Flat Pads
  • Hybrid Shields
  • Compensators
  • Lower Lash Shields

Step 1 — Rinse Immediately After Service

Immediately after removing the silicone tools from the client, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water to prevent product residue from drying onto the surface.

Allowing adhesive, tint, balm, or chemical residue to dry onto the silicone can affect future adhesion and flexibility.

Step 2 — Wash Gently

Clean using:

  • Antibacterial soap
    OR
  • 70% isopropyl alcohol

Massage gently using clean fingertips while removing all visible product residue.

Important:

Do NOT use alcohol concentrations higher than 70%.

Higher alcohol percentages can begin breaking down the silicone structure over time, causing:

  • Reduced adhesion
  • Loss of flexibility
  • Premature cracking
  • Surface dryness
  • Shortened product lifespan

70% alcohol is effective because it disinfects while evaporating slowly enough to properly break down bacteria without aggressively damaging the silicone material.

Step 3 — Air Dry Only

Allow silicone tools to fully air dry on a clean surface.

Do NOT dry with:

  • Paper towels
  • Cotton pads
  • Towels with lint
  • Tissues

Silicone naturally attracts fibers and lint due to surface static and texture. Materials like paper towels can cling to the silicone surface and compromise adhesion during future services.

Even small fibers left behind can:

  • Affect shield grip
  • Interfere with lash placement
  • Reduce pad adhesion to the skin
  • Compromise precision during the service

Important — Do NOT Use Barbicide

Do not soak silicone tools in Barbicide or similar quaternary ammonium disinfectants.

Why?

Medical-grade silicone is a porous flexible material at a microscopic level. Strong disinfectant concentrates like Barbicide can gradually penetrate and degrade the silicone structure over time.

This may cause:

  • Loss of adhesion
  • Swelling or distortion
  • Silicone breakdown
  • Texture changes
  • Reduced flexibility
  • Surface cloudiness or weakening

Barbicide is designed primarily for hard non-porous surfaces such as metal tools, not soft flexible silicone systems.

For silicone lash lift tools, gentle antibacterial cleansing or 70% alcohol is the safest method to preserve performance and longevity.

Professional Tip

Store silicone tools completely dry in a clean dust-free container to help preserve their grip, flexibility, and professional appearance between services.

What are Precision Grip Flat Pads used for?

They are used during the initial flat-phase positioning step of Korean Lash Lift techniques before transitioning into curved shields.

Why is the ultra-thin edge important?

A thinner lash line profile allows the lashes to lay flatter against the pad for cleaner positioning and better lift structure.

Do these require tape?

No. The silicone grip is designed to adhere strongly to the eyelid without additional tape.

Can these be reused?

Yes. These are professional reusable silicone pads when properly cleaned and disinfected.

Are these used in traditional lash lifts?

These pads were specifically designed for Korean Lash Lift flat-phase techniques rather than traditional shield-only methods.

COMMON MISTAKES

Positioning Too Far from the Lash Line

Excess distance reduces positioning control and affects the lifting angle during the flat phase.

Not Applying Enough Pressure

Firm pressure helps activate the silicone grip and improves stability during processing.

Using Thick Traditional Flat Pads

Bulky pads can push lashes upward and compromise the purpose of the Korean flat-phase technique.
