Shake Well: Shake the bottle vigorously for 1 full minute before each use to activate the formula.

Prep Your Workspace: Dispense a small drop of adhesive onto a glue tray. Keep the adhesive level just below the top of the well if using the Flower Bouquet Technique® to prevent wicking up the fan base.

Replace Drop Frequently: Replace your glue drop every 15–20 minutes to maintain optimal stickiness and performance. Add a few drops of water to the old glue drop to polymerize it (stops fumes and makes cleanup easier).

Maintain Ideal Conditions: Work in 25-65% humidity and 19-25°C for best results. Monitor your room conditions with a hygrometer before every client, even small shifts can affect dry time.

HOW TO STORE:

  • Store upright in an airtight container with silica packs

Lash Adhesive FAQs

1. Why is my lash extension adhesive retention bad?

Poor lash extension retention can result from improper prep, incorrect humidity, insufficient adhesive, or expired glue. For better retention:

  • Clean natural lashes thoroughly to remove oils, makeup, and buildup.
  • Shake adhesive for 1 full minute before use.
  • Match your adhesive to your room’s humidity and temperature.
  • Use enough adhesive to create a secure bond without overloading.
  • Replace your adhesive drop every 15–20 minutes.

Choose an adhesive suited to your working environment. Lash Alchemist is designed to perform across a wide humidity range, making it a versatile option for changing conditions.

2. Does humidity affect lash glue?

Yes. Humidity directly affects how quickly cyanoacrylate-based lash extension adhesive cures.

  • High humidity: Adhesive cures faster, potentially weakening the bond if it dries before proper placement.
  • Low humidity: Adhesive cures more slowly, extending placement time.

Even small changes in humidity can affect retention. Always check your adhesive’s recommended humidity range and maintain a stable work environment.

3. How should I store lash extension adhesive?

Store lash glue upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Keep the nozzle clean and tightly sealed, and follow the manufacturer's storage instructions. Avoid refrigeration unless specifically recommended.

  • Unopened bottle: Up to 6 months.
  • Opened bottle: Replace after 30 days, following the product's instructions.

Always check the expiration date and storage guidelines on your adhesive.

4. Why is my lash glue stringy or drying too fast?

Stringy lash adhesive can indicate an old glue drop, moisture exposure, or expired product. Replace your drop every 15–20 minutes and check your bottle's expiration date.

If your glue cures too quickly, your humidity may be too high for the formula. Shake the bottle for 1 full minute before use and ensure your room conditions match the adhesive's specifications.

If stringiness occurs alongside poor retention or weak bonds, replace the drop or switch to a more suitable adhesive.

5. How often should I replace my lash glue?

As a general guideline, replace opened lash adhesive every 30 days and unopened bottles within 6 months, provided the product's packaging confirms these timeframes.

Write the opening date on your bottle and follow the manufacturer's shelf-life and storage instructions to help maintain adhesive performance.

6. What's the difference between 0.5-second and 2-second lash glue?

Adhesive dry time determines how long you have to position an extension before the bond begins to cure.

  • 0.5–1 second: Best for experienced lash artists with fast placement and precise isolation. Examples: Superhero and Invisible Genius.
  • 2–3 seconds: Offers more working time for placement and isolation. Examples: Opening Act and Camo.

Choose your lash glue based on your application speed, technique, and room conditions—not just the advertised dry time.

7. Does faster-drying lash glue mean better results?

Not necessarily. Faster-drying lash adhesive isn't always better for retention. If the glue cures before the extension properly contacts the natural lash, the bond may be weak.

Choose a slower-drying adhesive like Camo, or Alchemist if you need more time for placement. As your speed and technique improve, you can transition to faster-drying formulas like Superhero O!mega

The best lash glue is the one that matches your skill level and working environment.

8. Why isn't my lash glue sticking to natural lashes?

If lash extensions slide off or fail to bond, check the following:

  • Natural lashes are clean and free of oils or residue.
  • You're using the correct amount of adhesive.
  • The extension makes proper contact with the natural lash.
  • Your adhesive is fresh, properly shaken, and suited to your room conditions.
  • Natural lash texture is compatible with your adhesive.

For smooth or resistant natural lashes, consider Balancing Lash Toner as directed to help improve surface texture and adhesive grip.

9. Can I use a fan, bonder, or nano mister to cure lash glue faster?

  • Fan: Helps circulate air and improve ventilation but doesn't guarantee proper curing.
  • Nano mister: Can introduce excess moisture and cause uneven curing or shock polymerization. Follow your adhesive manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Bonder: Certain bonders can help seal the adhesive after application and reduce lingering fumes. Follow the product's directions.

Always allow your adhesive to cure according to its formulation and instructions.

10. Why is my lash glue turning white?

White residue, also called blooming, can occur when moisture interacts with the curing adhesive. Watery eyes, excessive humidity, or sudden exposure to moisture may contribute.

To help prevent blooming:

  • Maintain stable humidity within your adhesive's recommended range.
  • Avoid excess moisture during application.
  • Use the appropriate amount of adhesive.
  • Consider a compatible bonder according to its instructions.

11. How can I reduce lash glue fumes and irritation for sensitive clients?

All cyanoacrylate-based lash extension adhesives produce some fumes. To help minimize exposure:

  • Work in a well-ventilated space.
  • Ensure under-eye pads and tape are positioned correctly and the eyes can close fully.
  • Use appropriate ventilation without directing strong airflow into the client's eyes.
  • Follow the adhesive and bonder instructions.
  • Screen clients for sensitivities and follow appropriate professional safety protocols.

No adhesive or bonder can guarantee a reaction-free application. Avoid applying extensions to irritated eyes, and discontinue treatment if a reaction occurs.

12. What is the best lash adhesive for beginners?

Opening Act, Camo, and Alchemist offer options for artists who need additional placement time.

  • Opening Act: 2–3 second dry time; best suited to higher humidity environments of 40–65%.
  • Camo: Approximately 2-second dry time with a thicker viscosity for controlled placement; suited to 35–55% humidity.
  • Alchemist: Approximately 1–2 second dry time with a wider working humidity range of 25–65%.

Always confirm the current specifications on each product page. Choose the formula that matches your speed, technique, and studio conditions.

13. What's the difference between lash extension adhesive and strip lash glue?

Professional lash extension adhesive is designed for individual extensions bonded to natural lashes by a trained lash artist. It uses a professional-grade formula intended for long-lasting wear.

Strip lash glue is designed for temporary application of strip lashes along the eyelid and is generally removed after daily wear.

Lace It Up Precision Bond is formulated for DIY segment lashes and approximately 7-day wear when used as directed. Its cyanoacrylate-free formula uses a different bonding chemistry from traditional professional lash extension adhesives.

These adhesives are not interchangeable. Always use the adhesive specifically designed for your lash application.

14. Can I use professional lash extension adhesive with DIY or strip lashes?

No. Professional lash extension adhesive is formulated for individual extensions applied directly to natural lashes by a trained professional. It is not designed for DIY clusters or strip lashes.

Using a professional adhesive with the wrong lash type can make removal difficult and increase the risk of natural lash damage or breakage.

Choose the correct adhesive for your application:

  • Professional extensions: Lash extension adhesive.
  • Strip lashes: Strip lash glue
